Intercontinental exchange (ICE), whose children-company is New York stock exchange, will postpone release of the Bakkt Cryptocurrency platform another time. This what CoinDesk says.

Bakkt platform release can be postponed again

Due to the November ICE announcement, platform will become able to use as soon as 24 January 2019. However the ICE, which controls Bakkt development, hasn't still received needed documents from Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Taking how much time it usually takes in count, the decision about Bakkt registration won't be done in the time regulating service said it will.

At the same time, it doesn’t mean that CFTC isn't going to prove the initiative. On the other hand, reliable source, involved in the situation, gives information about that 30th January seems to be a day when the decision will finally be done. This way, platform release won't be postponed on more than just a few days.

Among what US service has to do is give to ICE right to save users’ actives. Now the government Commission has to vote for changing the request's status to publicly discussed, it will continue to be in such phase for as much as 30 days. After the end of the discussion, CFTC is going to ask for a few more days to learn all the comments and making changes in their decision based on them.
