Just Eat’s France Subsidiary is Now Accepting Bitcoin

Just Eat, the UK’s online food delivery company, has partnered with bitcoin payment service provider Bitpay to accept cryptocurrency payments in its France subsidiary.

Customers are now able to order and pay with bitcoin for food from over 15,000 restaurants in France. To make an order users have to download Just Eat application, link the app with their bitcoin wallet and pick the bitcoin payment option upon checkout.

Than, they will be redirected  to the Bitpay website to choose from a list of bitcoin wallets and exchanges. If the order is canceled, the platform will refund the payments in euros in the user’s bank account.

The bitcoin price will be calculated depending on its current price on Bitpay. The Just Eat platform doesn’t charge any transaction fee for the crypto payments.

The Just Eat website for France has expanded the payment methods to cryptocurrencies after its acquisition by Takeaway.com. Founded in 2001, the Just Eat group operates in 13 countries and has over 240,000 restaurant partners.
