Take a note that there is no such thing as being late for this kind of donation.
Of course, an organization such as Red Cross has monetary "buffer" for emergency spending, but considering the magnitude of this particular natural disaster, the reserve funds there will be drained to critical levels and are in need of replenishment. In other words, any money you will be donating (even if later) is already being put to use TODAY (literary).

Estimated death toll has been raised to 200,000
Few people are still being rescued daily, but many will not be, even if still alive under rubble.
It will take some estimated $50 Billion and about 5 years to rebuild.
Haiti Earthquake disaster may well become one of the top 10 records of death toll EVER recorded by human race.

PORT-AU-PRINCE (AFP) 'A French rescue team on Wednesday pulled a 16-year-old Haitian girl alive from under the rubble in Port-au-Prince, 15 days after the devastating January 12 earthquake, they said.

"She was in a pocket surrounded by concrete, completely dehydrated," he added.

This is already from miracle category.
Human may survive without food even for about a month, but without water only about a week.
